Sven Vath’s Franfurt based Cocoon label releases a new compilation ‘Party Animals’ mixed by Marco Carola and Nick Curly

It’s set to be a forecast on the upcoming Ibiza Season and takes in everything from tracky tech-house to deep techno via rolling minimal with producers from all over the globe making an appearance. The mix goes from heads down to arms in the air and back again with the likes of Loco Dice’s studio wingman Martin Buttrich, Detroit techno man Ryan Crosson and pal Guti, 8Bit Records boss Gorge and our recently tipped Leeds based newcomer, Youandeawn, all having their tracks used.
Lurking far below the surface of the ocean, the mysterious Viperfish swims in solitude from any signs of human life. Dwelling in the dark, cold waters, he waits patiently and lures his prey in with a light producing organ; attacking at an astonishing speed.
‘Evening Harvest’ is a selection Press of material that Teej wrote over a six-month period in the first half of 2009. With an emphasis on deep techno and house, the album is a journey through an array of different musical sounds and moods, with Teej also adding his own soulful vocals to the music. The tracks were written to be deep listening pieces, whilst also being DJ friendly. ‘Evening Harvest’ is the culmination of 14 years spent listening to, DJing, writing and producing electronic music, and represents the diversity of sounds he is deeply passionate about.
